Brigalow® has a quick regrowth rate and good yield with a strong tillering habit. Brigalow® has a medium to late maturity and its proportion of thinner tiller assists in a quick recovery after grazing. With a good initial growth, Brigalow® consistently delivers on total dry matter. This sturdy oat variety is resistant to most strains of rust; however, it can be susceptible to some newer strains. Brigalow® is a great option for Grazing and Hay production.
True to its name, Massive® forage oats delivers a very large leaf developed from a joint breeding program between the US and Australia. The aim of this program was to provide a variety with a good early feed with Massive® as the result. This provides not only good early feed but also drought tolerance. Massive® maintains its growth during autumn, winter, and spring and is best suited for high rainfall conditions Massive® can still withstand drought and other tough conditions. In addition to is large leave size it also grows large and vigorous seeds.
Drover® has shown higher yield throughout the winter months and has produced larger quantities of winter feed in trials. Drover® has an intermediate growth habit. Drover’s® development included selection for high levels of dry matter and production regrowth ability. Drover® has a relatively low growing point which makes it ideal for high stocking rates for all classes of livestock. Drover can be susceptible to the newer strains of rust, but adequate spacing can ensure the health of this productive variety.
Lavish® forage oats are the result of Australian Research and Development that have, over four years of testing, demonstrated outstanding performance when compared to current market-leading varieties. Lavish® has a semi-erect growth habit with strong initial growth and reduced time to first grazing. It is a late-maturing oat with outstanding total season dry-matter. It's proportion of thinner tillers allows for rapid recovery after cutting or grazing making Lavish® a great option to consider.
Sorcerer® is made for our region having been bred, trialed, tested and selected in our region. Sorcerer® is resistant to all known pathotypes of rust reducing your need for fungicide. Its palatability is on par with similar varieties as is the case with weight intake. Sorcerer® grows quick to first graze while maintaining a greater yield throughout. It has a medium to late maturity and excellent recovery after grazing and cutting in the winter months.
Bronco® provides a high feed quality for your livestock. It is fast establishing for autumn to spring fodder. With its high leaf to stem ration it provides a quality palatable forage. It also provides a good cover for weed control and soil preparation or as a pioneer crop on new land. Bronco® can be grazed early and continuously with excellent warm emergence and a long season of production for flexibility when seasons extend. Bronco® is susceptible to pugging so avoid grazing when waterlogged. This variety is late maturing and resistant to crown rust.
